Love Finds You in Charm, Ohio

I have recently read this book by Annalisa  Daughety and have posted a more lengthy review of it on my other blog at Homeliving.  I do not get much reading done these days but I made an exception in this case after reading  hearing the author on a video explain her spiritual values in writing. She wants people of all ages to be able to read a good clean book that is also interesting enough to capture their imagination.

The Light of the Home

This a book I am reading right now of the history of ladies lives at home in the Victorian Era.  I can see a lot of the research contained in Linda Lichter's "Simple Social Graces" may have come from parts of this book. This book has a lot more detail, sketches and pictures. It tells the strength of women at home to influence society at large.  I hope you will purchase one of these for your homeschool library to help your children have an insight into the purpose of the home.
